Finally, the main event!
I’ll admit that while I had heard a lot of The xx songs and enjoyed them, I wasn’t really a total convert until I saw the show at the Cat’s Cradle. First of all everyone in the band seemed real professional and the songs were super tight. They also all seemed to be enjoying themselves and were very appreciative saying how this was their first US headline tour and how they enjoyed the warm welcome. Definitely a breath of fresh air after the lethargic jj before them.
Crystalised was awesome and their lights were on point as well. The gallery of photos is pretty large and I had trouble whittling it down to that size (45 images). Anyhow I’ve ordered the album now (had no cash for the merch table) and will go see them again whenever I get the chance, although I have a feeling it will be in a venue larger than the Cradle next time, which is a good (for them) and bad (for me) thing.
